Lamar Little League’s Randall Collum Named National Community Hero

Texas East District 36 is proud to celebrate one of our own—Coach Randall Collum of Lamar Little League—who has been nationally recognized as a Little League® Community Hero, presented by New York Life. This honor highlights volunteers making a lasting impact in their local leagues and communities, and Randall is a shining example of that dedication.

For nearly a decade, Randall has been a driving force in Lamar Little League’s growth and success. Whether spearheading fundraisers, securing grant funding for new batting cages, or installing turf and digital scoreboards, his work behind the scenes has transformed the Lamar LL complex into a top-tier baseball environment.

But Randall’s contributions go far beyond facilities. As a coach, he’s built a culture of teamwork and fun, leading both regular and tournament season teams. His leadership was on full display during the league’s 2024 Texas East Major League State Championship run—a proud moment for the entire District 36 family.

Outside the diamond, Randall continues to give back. He volunteers at the Houston Food Bank, modeling what it means to lead with service and compassion.

District 36 congratulates Randall Collum for this well-deserved national recognition. We’re grateful for the impact he’s made in Richmond and across the district—and we’re proud to call him one of our own.
