Lamar Claims 2025 District 36 9-10-11 Championship

The 2025 Texas East District 36 9-10-11 Tournament wrapped up this week at Brazoswood Little League, with Lamar Little League emerging as the district champion after a strong and consistent showing throughout the bracket.

The tournament began on June 13 with Lamar securing an early win over Needville, while Alvin edged out Brazoswood. Rainy weather disrupted play on June 14, forcing postponements and schedule adjustments, but teams returned to action on June 15. Lamar continued their momentum with a commanding win over Alvin, and Needville advanced with a shortened victory over Brazoswood.

On June 16, Alvin bounced back with a high-scoring win over Needville to earn a spot in the championship game. In the final matchup on June 17, Lamar delivered a 6–0 shutout over Alvin to secure the district title.

Congratulations to Lamar on their championship win and to all participating teams for their effort, sportsmanship, and dedication throughout the tournament. The District extends its thanks to Brazoswood Little League for hosting and to the many volunteers who made this event possible.

Lamar will now advance to represent District 36 in the next round of tournament play.
