Needville Captures 2025 District 36 Junior Division Championship

Needville Junior League has been crowned the 2025 Texas East District 36 Junior Division Champion after an impressive run through the tournament, capped by a 17–2 victory over Angleton in the championship game at Suggs Field in Lake Jackson.

Despite multiple weather delays early in the bracket, Needville remained focused and consistent throughout the week. They opened with a 17–0 win over Alvin and followed that with a 5–0 shutout against Brazoswood to advance to the finals.

Originally scheduled as a potential doubleheader, the championship was decided in just one game as Needville delivered a commanding performance against Angleton to close out the tournament. Their bats came alive early and often, while strong defense and pitching kept Angleton off balance.

District 36 congratulates Needville on earning the Junior Division title and thanks all participating teams for their sportsmanship, effort, and determination throughout the tournament. Special thanks to Brazoswood Little League and the many volunteers who helped make the tournament a success.

Needville will now advance to represent District 36 in the next round of Junior League tournament play.
