Alvin’s Mike Hanlon Recognized as a Little League Community Hero by New York Life

Texas East Little League District 36 is proud to celebrate Mike Hanlon, longtime coach and mentor for Alvin (Texas) Little League, who has been recognized on the national level as a Little League Community Hero, presented by New York Life.

For more than 16 years, Coach Hanlon has dedicated his time and passion to mentoring young athletes in Alvin, Texas. His positive spirit, selfless attitude, and unwavering commitment to the game have made him a cornerstone of the Alvin Little League community. His influence extends far beyond the field—he is a role model and mentor to countless players, teaching them life skills, teamwork, and perseverance through the sport of baseball and softball.

Before his service to the Alvin community, Coach Hanlon served his country in the United States Army, taking part in Operation Enduring Freedom. His dedication, leadership, and integrity have carried over into his coaching, where he continues to shape the next generation of athletes with the same commitment he demonstrated in uniform.

This national recognition as a Little League Community Hero is a testament to Coach Hanlon’s impact—not just in Alvin, not just in Texas East District 36, but across the entire Little League community. His efforts embody the core values of Little League Baseball and Softball: character, courage, and loyalty.

Congratulations, Coach Hanlon! Your passion and dedication inspire us all.
